The Siuslaw Water Trail provides over 30-river miles of paddling opportunities along the North Fork and Siuslaw Rivers between Mapleton, Oregon and the Pacific Ocean. Paddle from the head of tide through the beautiful Estuarine Islands Coastal forests, Sand Dunes, and historic waterway with a centuries-old heritage of people making a living from forestry and fishing.
South Slough on the Southern Oregon Coast lays within the South Slough Estuarine Research Reserve established in 1974. South Slough is one of several protected areas in Coos County. It rich in waterfowl and plant life.
Willamette Riverkeepers based in Portland, Oregon puts this event on each year to bring awareness to the rivers health and challenges. Your day is filled with learning about the river and it eco-system while paddling with new found friends. And your evenings are filled with stores and music from local bands in the area.
