Saturday, June 7th and Sunday, June 8th - Swiftwater Rescue Two Day Course

The course covers essential skills for recreational users. Topics include accident prevention, technical rescues, and scene management. Emphasis is on personal safety and practical techniques. You'll practice handling hazards like entrapments, knots/ropes and participate in scenarios to hone your skills individually and as part of a team. No previous rescue experience required, but a good attitude is essential and comfort swimming and/or boating is a definite plus. Taught by Callay Boire-Shedd, ACA Level 4 Swiftwater Rescue Instructor.

Sunday, June 15th - Wenonah Canoe "Paddle with the Pros" Clinic and Demo

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn from the pros at Wenonah Canoe! We'll learn about paddle strokes, proper technique, and how to choose the right canoe for you. And to wrap it up, we’ll end with an hour of open demo!

Location: Fern Ridge, Perkins Peninsula Park

Tuesday, June 17th - Pickin' and Paddlin' Concert and Demo

Join us on Tuesday, June 17th from 5–9pm at Lowell State Recreation Site for an evening of boats, bluegrass, and BBQ at our beloved Pickin’ and Paddlin’ event!

Try out the latest boats from Mocean, Delta, and Eddyline in a laid-back demo setting right on the water. Reps from Mocean, Delta, and Aquabound Paddles will be on hand to answer questions and showcase the freshest gear in paddlesports.

Already have your own boat? Bring it along and try out one of our demo paddles!

We’ll have grills fired up—you bring the food, and we’ll provide the heat. We’re keeping it chill with non-alcoholic drinks (sodas and water), and yes, there will be a vegetarian-only grill to keep things friendly for everyone.

And of course, we’re pickin’ strings while we paddle! Ethan Ebersold, member of the bluegrass band XXX, will be laying down live tunes, stories, and good vibes as the sun sets. (Stay tuned—we may be adding more musical guests!)

Whether you’re here to paddle, picnic, or just hang with fellow water-loving folks, we hope you’ll join us for an evening of fun on and off the water.

Pick a boat. Pack your picnic. Join the pickin’.

We can’t wait to see you there.
