Saturday, July 27 - Eddyline Appreciation Event

We will bring our entire Eddyline demo fleet out to Fern Ridge for an afternoon of paddling! Join us for a hot dog picnic, good times, and exclusive deals – even deals on the demo fleet too...
We plan to do a paddle from 11-12, with demo time before and after as well. Hot dog picnic will be around 12:30. Hope to see you there!

 

Sunday, July 28 - Intro to Whitewater Lesson

This introductory class meant primarily for whitewater kayaks spends the full day on the river teaching the basics of safety, reading water, and types of strokes.

 

Sunday, August 11 - Pride Paddle

In honor of Eugene Pride, we are partnering with Willamette River Keeper to put on this FREE group paddle event! Registration is required in order to guarantee a spot – link to be posted soon.

Saturday, August 31 - Intro to Self Rescue Lesson

This class will cover the basic safety and skills required for confidence on the water, with a focus on multiple methods of wet exiting from your boat and re entry without assistance, off shore.

 

Sunday, September 1 - Basics of Paddling Lesson

Come one, come all! This full-day, on-the-water class designed for kayaks and canoes teaches the fundamentals of safety, types of strokes, and entry and exit.

 

Saturday, September 14th and Sunday, September 15th - Swiftwater Rescue Two Day Course

Come and learn how to stay safe and keep others safe on the water with Oregon Paddle Sports ACA Level 4 Swiftwater Rescue. This 2-day course (9/14-15) covers essential skills for recreational users. Topics include accident prevention, technical rescues, and scene management. Emphasis is on personal safety and practical techniques. You'll practice handling hazards like entrapments, knots/ropes and participate in scenarios to hone your skills individually and as part of a team. No previous rescue experience required, but a good attitude is essential and comfort swimming and/or boating is a definite plus. Taught by Callay Boire-Shedd, ACA Level 4 Swiftwater Rescue Instructor.
